Zircotec Sponsors Wolverhampton Racing Team for 2023 Season
Earlier this week, the University of Wolverhampton Racing Team (UWR) confirmed their entry for the 2023 Praga Cup UK with newly signed driver, Jessica Hawkins.
We’re proud be part of the UWR as a sponsor for this year’s Praga Cup UK race season. We will be supplying our market-leading heat management solutions to ensure UWR keep their cool on the track, whilst also increasing performance.
Jessica will be paired with UWR’s professional driver, and University mentor, Shane Kelly. Shane led UWR last year to multiple podiums including a race with at Silverstone. As the only student-led racing team in the UK, they won the Rookie of the Year Award for their 2022 performance. UWR truly is a unique team to support, and it coincides perfectly with Zircotec’s long-standing tradition of supporting ‘the engineers of tomorrow’ with our motorsport solutions. Zircotec has sponsored and supported countless Formula Student racing teams since 2008, and supporting the UWR is no different. Jessica is a professional stunt driver, as featured in James Bond films as well as Fast and Furious Live, a driver ambassador for the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team, and now the first female racer of UWR.
