Zircotec Group, the company that has owned the science of heat management for more than 30 years, is pleased to appoint Richard Carter as its new Head of Motorsport.

Based in Abingdon, Zircotec is world-renowned as a developer and manufacturer of high-performance thermal management product solutions to teams and championships across the motorsport spectrum.

Its ‘best in class’ technology is used by 90% of the teams on the Formula One grid, in Formula E, the FIA World Endurance Championship, INDYCAR and the FIA World Rally Championship.

Richard Carter has been recruited to support the company’s activities and customers in the motorsport sector and joins the Zircotec team from PWR Advanced Cooling Technology where he was Technical Sales Manager (Motorsport) for Europe.

Born and bred in the UK’s ‘Motorsport Valley’, Richard has worked in the motorsport and niche automotive sectors his entire career. His experience includes operational roles at Red Bull Racing and Mercedes AMG in F1, and the direct management of processes and build for both the Aston Martin Valkyrie and McLaren Solus GT hypercars.

He said: “I’m delighted to join Zircotec Group, a company that has a formidable reputation in the science of heat management. Having worked with Zircotec products in all my previous roles, I know first-hand about the quality, performance and durability they afford to customers.

“My objective is to further strengthen relationships with the existing customer portfolio and to reach new ones by introducing the performance benefits – which can often mean the difference between winning and losing – of Zircotec’s market-leading products to them.”

Terry Graham, Zircotec CEO, said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Richard into the Zircotec team. His experience in the motorsport and niche vehicle industries is extensive and the fact he’s used our products as a customer for a number of years makes him a fantastic ambassador for the business and I believe that will help him to drive our motorsport activities even further forward.”
